"Beth Alvarez was the main person to make my sale super possible. But everyone I spoke to put their bit in to make it happen. It was my first buy at a Dealership ever and I looked at multiple dealers in the area, and came to the conclusion that Sport Mazda is the place to be in my opinion. They treat you like family. They really work to get you the best deal. If you were raised in a close, tight-knit family like I was, then you tend to really see that aspect at Sport Mazda. “Jorge Guzman and I talked over the phone about the car I wanted and the price before I ventured into the showroom on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at 4:59 pm. That's right, only 1 minute before closing on the Labor Day weekend and as I found out later, this was also his daughter's birthday party celebration. We had test driven Hondas, Toyotas and visited several other Mazda dealers in Orlando plus priced the identical car over the phone at several more dealers outside the Orlando area. Consumer Reports helped us with zeroing in on a final model and pricing which included available rebates.

As you can tell, I am a trained labor contract negotiator and this wheeling and dealing is second nature based on my 30 years of "grinding" experience. Arriving at the dealership at the last minute was part of the strategy to get to the bottom line without forcing everyone to compromise a piece of their holiday time off.

I'm sure the negotiation had to be very stressful for Jorge but he never showed any sign of impatience and was always very personable and professional. During the 3 hours of negotiation, he had calls from home about the daughters party but handled them professionally and never once made us feel uncomfortable even though I was being very persistent about my demands. At the last minute, I announced the trade in of a 1998 Mercury and that started another negotiation about reasonable pricing. After all our research, we were able to recognize a great deal and are very satisfied with everyone we met during the negotiation.

Jorge has gone above and beyond what I expected during and after the sale! He volunteered his personal expertise to orient us to all the new technological features and interfaced with others when we returned during the first weeks after the sale. We both felt Jorge was very knowledgeable, honest, ethical (?can you say that about a car salesman?) and truly was interested in making and keeping us happy with our vehicle selection. 

In my work life, I am responsible for being able to quickly evaluate people and their personalities so I am pleased to say that Jorge is at the top of my list and would highly recommend him for any vehicle purchases you may be considering. I wouldn't have taken the time to offer all this verbiage unless I meant it!”

2014 Mazda3 voice control system tutorial



In a decade, it may be possible to have your car drive you to your destination simply by using your voice to tell it where to go. Until the future of retail self-driving cars become a reality, Mazda is integrating voice commands to control basic components to help alleviate drivers from minor distractions.

The Mazda Experts at Don Mealey’s Sport Mazda Orlando created a video guide to help instruct 2014 Mazda3 drivers on the basics of voice commands to operate hands-free calling as well as infotainment features like changing radio stations or inputting a destination for the navigation only using your voice.
